Both primary publications (e.g. working papers or series of publication produced by an institute) and secondary publications (publications that have already appeared elsewhere, e.g. in a journal) can be published in the repository.

You can submit publications in the formats pdf, epub and html. Please ensure that the files for submission have not had technical protection measures installed (such as password protection or copy protection). For more information, please refer to the Guidelines.

How can I publish documents here?

You can submit your publications and the associated metadata to the repository using an online form. Before starting the publishing process, the legal framework related to your publication must have been clarified. You are welcome to use the free "repository check-up" service.

The publishing process takes place in four steps.

Step 1 – Register/login

If you are using the repository to publish documents for the first time, you must first register. To do this, please enter your Leibniz Universität Hannover e-mail address. You will then be sent an e-mail containing a link, which will enable you to complete the registration process.

If you have already registered as a user, you can now login and start submitting publications.

Step 2 – Submit publication

Please use our online form to submit publications quickly and easily. This involves the following steps:

  • Assign your publication to one of the predefined collections
  • Enter bibliographic metadata about your publication
  • Upload the electronic full text
  • Check the bibliographic metadata and the uploaded document
  • Accept the licence agreement online whilst the document is being uploaded
  • Select a Creative Commons License (if possible)

Step 3 – Validate submission

After the submission process, the Repository Team will validate and enrich the bibliographic metadata of your publication.

Step 4 – Your electronic document will be released

Once all of the bibliographic metadata is complete, your publication and the associated metadata will be released by a member of the Repository Team. Your publication and the associated metadata will then be permanently available, and a notification will be sent to you by e-mail accordingly.
