The catalytic model system Rh(111)/VOx/CH3OH + O2 was investigated to study the interactions of metal-oxide-supported catalysts under reaction conditions.
Under reaction conditions macroscopic pattern formation causing the development of stripes and circular islands in a self organization process was observed. |
