dc.description.abstract Biocompatible hydrogels present interesting opportunities for in vivo waveguiding for optogenetic or photomedical applications. Here, we investigate the applicability of poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate hydrogels in combination with scattering particles as optical diffusors. Gel characteristics and bioactivity can be tuned to achieve controlled light distribution and tissue interaction. eng
