Educational research as an approach to understand social reality

Abstract

The article establishes and elaborates program research as an independent contribution to educational research based on adult education research and theory. The article focuses on specifying the meaning of program research as an educational research that develops an independent research methodology, analyzes complex educational realities, makes them visible and theorizes them by means of pedagogical conceptualizations. The maturity of program research and its contributions to the development of a discipline-constitutive educational research will then be examined using the example of the creation of code systems and their educationally relevant references for the core method of program analysis, as well as examples of the development of the research arrangement of perspective entanglement.

Der Artikel platziert und leitet Programmforschung als eigenständigen Beitrag einer erwachsenenpädagogisch begründeten Bildungsforschung her. Im Zentrum steht die Spezifizierung der Bedeutung von Programmforschung als eine Bildungsforschung, die eine eigenständige Forschungsmethodik entwickelt, komplexe Bildungswirklichkeiten analysiert und diese über pädagogische Begriffsbildungen sichtbar macht und theoretisch entwickelt. Die Reife von Programmforschungen und ihrer Beiträge zur Entfaltung einer disziplinkonstitutiven Bildungsforschung werden anschließend am Beispiel der Entwicklung von Codesystemen und ihrer bildungsrelevanten Bezüge für die zentrale Methode der Programmanalyse sowie an Beispielen der Entwicklung des Forschungsarrangements der Perspektivverschränkung betrachtet.
